Conserving the Tonkin Snub-Nosed Monkey in Vietnam (Summer Learning Journey)

Conserving the Tonkin Snub-Nosed Monkey in Vietnam

I found this project the most interesting because the Tonkin Snub-Nosed Monkey is endangered and it is really sad when animals become endangered because usually it is the cool and beautiful animals that are becoming extinct which is really horrible.
I read that the Vietnam community is getting involved in this project by Monitoring the activity of the Tonkin Snub-Nosed Monkey and counting the numbers of these monkeys to keep track of them.
I really hope that they can save the Tonkin Snub-Nosed Monkey because every animal is important to our world.

  1. Kia ora Jack,

Well done on finishing another activity with the Summer Learning Journey, you really have shown us your consistent effort! I think it is awesome and necessary that Fauna & Flora have these specific projects for the animals, imagine if we didn’t have amazing organisations? There would be a lot more endangered animals.

I didn’t know that Fauna & Flora kept track of these Monkey’s by monitoring and enforcing habitat conservation areas. Did you know that this is all community led?

What would you do in your community to make it a better place?
Looking forward to hearing back from you.

    Cheers,
    Georgia E
