The Best Time of Year
I think the best time of year for tourists to come is spring, coming in spring would mean the prices on things are not too high. Spring is also a great time of year to come to New Zealand because during spring time the mountains still have a bit of snow on the top and it just looks awesome and the flowers everywhere are just beautiful!Tourists could do a trip up the Waitangi river on Daryl's dinner cruise in Paihia Northland where they will be taken straight to Haruru Falls with a 2 course meal.
Tourists could go on the Huka Falls jet in Taupo where you will go on a very fast pace on the going up and down the Waikato river.
Which is why Spring is the best time of year for tourists to come to New Zealand.

You have some great ideas about what tourists can do during spring, here in New Zealand. The Bay of Islands is a hive of activity over the summer so spring would best time to have great weather with no so many people around. We have a family friend who drives tour buses around the Bay of Islands for cruise ships and he is always very busy during the summer time!
Another great activity people can do in New Zealand is to walk the Tongariro Crossing. It is the hike through the mountains in Tongariro and some of them will still have snow caps in spring! I remember doing it in Autumn and it was great but I was very sad that I missed seeing snow by only one week! The walk is almost 20 km long so you need the whole day free to be able to walk it. Do you think you would want to hike the Tongariro Crossing one day?
