These are some great questions for Sir Edmund Hillary. I have found the answer to question number 5. He did indeed have others climbing the mountain with him. Initially the adventure consisted of a 400-person crew and 20 Sherpa guides, however, due to bad weather, only Hillary and his Sherpa partner Tenzing made it to the peak of the mountain and made history.
Do you think you'd like to attempt Mt Everest one day? What would be your biggest hurdle or barrier to reaching the top? Mine would be struggling with the very cold temperatures and lack of oxygen so high up.
